According to the Public Relations Office of the Association of Iranian Tea Producers, Traders, and Tea Packaging Industries, the Association’s Board of Directors met today with the Ambassador of Kenya to Tehran to discuss opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation and supporting the development of the tea trade.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the potential for facilitating tea imports from Kenya and discussed the challenges currently faced by tea traders and the tea industry in Iran.
The two sides also explored ways to strengthen economic cooperation and streamline relevant procedures in order to support the growth of the tea sector and contribute to the national economy.
It was agreed that, following further consultations and progress in addressing existing import barriers, cooperation between the two sides would continue with the objective of strengthening trade relations between Iran and Kenya in the tea sector.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Association emphasized that expanding tea imports from Kenya and supporting trade activities between the two countries would contribute to stronger bilateral economic relations and help maintain a competitive and stable tea market
